Detailed Directions for those arriving by car:

From London: Follow the A2 in the direction of Dover or on the M25 exit at the Dartford Tunnel junction and follow the A2 until you get to the junction with the A289. Proceed in the direction of Rochester and keep left towards Grain. Keep following the signs to Grain (A228) and follow the bypass to the end. At the roundabout, turn left, go up Four Elms Hill and keep following this road over three roundabouts, at the fourth it is the second exit, then past a small petrol station on your right. At the next roundabout turn left, towards Allhallows, and after 50 yards after the row of cottages on your left turn left again. Our road is a very small lane called Newlands Farm Road. If you get to the Fenn Bell Pub then you have gone too far. Drive down Newlands Farm Road to the end (you will pass a bungalow and a big farm house on your right) and you will come to a large pond.  Bear right here and drive between the barn and back of the stables.  Follow this track all the way to the end and you will arrive at Stable Cottages. 

Upon arrival you will need to enter your code (or ring the buzzer on the intercom if you haven't been given it yet). If you have already paid and have been provided with your cottage number, please follow the driveway around to right (sign posted Stable Cottages) and all the way to the end where you will come to the cottages parking area. The two bedroom cottages (1-4) are adjacent to the car park. To access our four bedroom cottages (5 and 6), please follow the pathway in front of cottages 1-4 to the end and turn left. 

From Dover: Follow the M2 until Junction 1 (A289) towards Grain and this takes you onto the bypass mentioned above.

Arriving by train:

Due to our rural location, public transport links to Stable Cottages are limited. We always recommend arriving by car unless you plan on spending the duration of your stay here in St. Mary Hoo. If you are arriving by train, the nearest station is Strood (6.7 miles).  Rochester and Ebbsfleet are also  fairly close by. From here we would recommend taking a taxi from the station as the nearest bus stop is around 1 mile from Stable Cottages.
